Overview
Trauma can follow a single overwhelming event, such as an accident, a sudden loss or an experience of violence. It can also build over time through ongoing stress, neglect or difficult relationships. Whatever its source, trauma can leave the mind and body stuck in a state of alarm long after the danger has passed.
At Soulful Psychology, trauma work is paced carefully and guided by what feels manageable for you. The aim is not to relive the past, but to understand how it is still showing up today — and to help your mind and body learn that you are safe now.
